supermassive stars in the Eta Argus stellar system


In the Sagittarius Arm of the Milky Way lies the beautiful reflection nebula known as the Augusta Nebula. Part of the vast Eta Carinae Nebula of light and dark regions, the Augusta reflects one of several supermassive stars in the Eta Argus stellar system. This star has a luminosity 2.5 million times greater than our sun. Distance from Earth: 7,500 light years 🛰
